Camaraderie Foundation Now Accepting Applications for Mentor Leadership Program Class IV
Camaraderie Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2017-2018 Mentor Leadership Program Class IV for both Protégés and Mentors. Applications are due by close of business on Friday, April 13. A Protégé is a fairly junior Veteran who is at a point of transition in his/her life (Veterans in college who will soon graduate; Veterans who have a job, but want a new career; and soon-to-be Veterans who are still in the military). The Mentors (sometimes called co-mentors) are typically local Veterans who are successful business leaders from the local community. Up to 15 Protégés will be selected this year starting May 9 to join the 2017-2018 Mentor Leadership Program (MLP) Class IV. The MLP program is designed to expand the skills and knowledge of Protégé Veterans by assisting them in getting better networked in the local community. Through collaborative and interactive experiences, class members learn valuable skills, enhance their community awareness, and use their collective knowledge to engage in meaningful community service projects in central Florida. MLP Class IV will run for 12 months and will include an orientation, networking events, volunteer outreach events, and five educational sessions. At the end of the year, we hold a graduation/scholarship reception for all sponsors, Mentors and Protégés where the most deserving Protégés will be announced as the MVPs and win a scholarship to attend Leadership Orlando or Leadership Seminole, two of Florida’s best community leadership programs (value of $2,200-$4,500).
