Mitigation Relating to Military Service that Persuades Prosecutors

On April 28th, 2017, the Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit hosted “Representing Justice-Involved Veterans,” a training event on how criminal defense attorneys can represent clients with military service. The first speaker, Thomas Feiter, discussed what mitigation factors related to military service are considered persuasive to prosecutors.
